dreamy tilda wall hanging ....

Morning everyone today ive got a wallhanging i made with 3 of my fave challenges in mind mduc where there is a fab sketch , totally tilda where its distressing and just magnolia shabby chic .I love the sketch at mduc but wanted to do something other than a card so decided on this ,it started life as 2 pieces of plain chipboard one 8x8 the other 6x6 .to make the base i painted it with gesso then a layer of brown paint then a layer of cream then when dry i attaked it with sandpaper to give it a worn wood look then stamped some flourishes on one side as in the sketch .for the picture i masked i think it was 8 stamps !!! it took me 2 hours just to get the positioning right !! then i painted the scene with distress inks and mounted it on the smaller piece of chipboard .Then i found a piece of fabric i bought years ago that was ment to be curtains but never quite made it to the sewing machine and chopped out some triangles for the pennant banner sewed and inked the edges and added the sentiment ,finishing off with some flowers the beige one i made from a scrap of fabric love the way it came out all frayed and shabby looking . I really enjoyed making this hope you like it x x

    Hi oh wow this is so dreamy and utterly beautiful. I can see the hours of crafty patience have paid off. Love every bit this is the best craftywork I have seen in blogland right now ! I hope you win a few challenges on this one. Totally inspired never tried a wall plaque yet ! Thanks Kitty :D
